Kempinski Sapanca
Description
Tucked into the tranquil slopes of Sapanca, Kempinski Sapanca is envisioned as a 70-room mountain resort that redefines luxury through quietness, refinement, and rootedness. Set between dense forests and the reflective calm of the lake, the project draws its identity from a dialogue between Scandinavian minimalism and the earthy materiality of Anatolia.
The resort is conceived as an intimate sanctuary for those seeking refuge in nature and in themselves. Its program brings together curated culinary venues, elegant lounges, private gathering spaces, wellness and spa experiences, expansive glass walls, warm wood interiors, and private terraces overlooking the lake basin, pine woods, and sunset-hued skies.
Architecturally, the project is shaped by long horizontal lines, sculpted edges, raw stone, vertical timber slats, matte surfaces, and dark pitched roofs. The entrance sequence, defined by stone walls and narrow paths, recalls traditional Anatolian courtyards — creating a gradual transition from the outside world into inner calm.
